2025 Grad Fundraiser in Support of BGC Kamloops

Aberdeen Mall will be hosting our third annual fundraising event in support of a community partner, and we are hoping to entice the graduating classes of 2025 to participate.

We will have a drive where each of the secondary schools in our district collect wish list items for the BGC Kamloops Necessity Nook.

The school with the most number of items from the designated list collected will receive $1,000 worth of Aberdeen Mall Gift Cards being donated to their graduation festivities. The second-place school will receive $500 worth and every participating school will each receive $100 worth of gift cards.

There will be a collection event at Aberdeen Mall on Saturday, March 1st from 10am to 1pm where all donations can be dropped off to. The BGC Kamloops will be onsite to collect the items and take them away the same day.

Your group would be encouraged to collect items ahead of time and simply drop them off to the mall on March 1st. Some collection ideas that worked well last year are:

• Collection boxes at school
• Collect items at events or grad meetings
• Collect items outside of groceries stores ahead of event
• Wishlist Drive in local neighbourhoods (much like the Food Bank does in mid-Spring)

We will promote this event to all of Kamloops and encourage everyone to pop in and make their donation in the name of the school of their choosing.

To properly organize and promote this event, we would need commitment from your school by Monday, February 10th, 2025.
