Our Community Space is available for non-profit charitable organizations to sell raffle tickets, promote fundraising events or to provide display information about an organization. If you are a non-profit charitable organization with a society or charitable registration number, that meets our criteria, Aberdeen Mall is pleased to offer complimentary space to set up. Who can use the Community Space?
The Community Space is reserved for non-profit/charitable organizations; each group is allowed 1 visit per calendar year. Groups can use the booth for a minimum of 1 day to a maximum of 7 consecutive days.
A maximum of 5 of the same group that have several different branches will be allowed per calendar year. (ie: The Knights of Columbus, Rotary, Boy Scouts, etc.)
What's in the Community Space?
Most importantly, representatives from your organization! The space must be staffed during all mall hours on the date(s) of your request. The space located in the upstairs main entrance will have a complimentary table and chairs provided. Should the lower level Centre Court area be available, your group will automatically be setup in this area with notice sent to the event contact.
How do I reserve the Community Space?
Complete an application form. The written application must be submitted a minimum of 7 days prior to the requested date(s). the Community Space is available on a first come, first served basis. Applications will be reviewed and process in the order they are submitted. Please download an Aberdeen Mall Application Form here.
When is the space available?
The Community Space is available mid-January to October 31 of each calendar year based on first come, first served basis. Due to the holiday season we are unable to accommodate Community Groups between November 1 through mid-January.
What are the Rules and Regulations for the Community Space?
As always, rules will apply. What happens once my initial application is approved?
Once your request has been approved and dates have been confirmed, a confirmation package will be sent to the contact person. The package includes the following items that must be returned no later than 3 days prior to the start of the organizations visit.
- Signed space agreement (a Aberdeen Mall signed copy will be returned for your records)
- Copy of the organizations liability insurance in an amount no less than $2,000,000. Such insurance must name Seacliff Properties (Aberdeen) Ltd., Aberdeen Kamloops Mall Limited, and Cushman & Wakefield Asset Services ULC as additional insured.
- Initialed copy of the rules and regulations
- Lottery license (if required by BC Gaming)
- Description of photos or any promotional material or signage must be submitted prior to the visit for management's approval.
