New Emergency Evacuation Procedures
October 12, 2022
In the past when our fire alarm bells have gone off our procedure has been to investigate the alarm before determining whether we need to evacuate the building.
Upon completion of our most recent fire drill, it was recommended by the Kamloops Fire Department that if-and-when our alarm bells go off that we move to evacuate the building immediately as we could be losing valuable minutes to get everyone out safely in the event of a real emergency.
The safety of everyone in the building is paramount to us, so effective immediately when the alarm bells sound, we will be instructing everyone to evacuate the premises via an announcement made by Guest Services.
Should you have questions or concerns, please reach out to the Administration Office.
Thank you,
Kristi Williams

New Responsive Service Portal - ANGUS
June 6, 2024
Welcome to the New Mobile Friendly Aberdeen Mall (powered by MRI Angus) Service Portal
Aberdeen Mall is pleased to announce the launch of our new responsive Service Portal on Thursday, June 6, 2024. The mobile friendly service portal greatly streamlines the processes for submitting requests as well as viewing important building information. A self-serve, secure Service Portal offers a convenient way for all building occupants to get the service they need. Whether on a laptop, desktop, or mobile device, the portal provides the ability to request maintenance services. Please note that the current Service Portal URL: http://www.ng1.angus.mrisoftware.com/tenant/232543/Main/default.aspx
The following information provides an overview of the new portal.
This Service Portal features a modern user interface, leveraging the latest technologies, and provides an optimal experience across all devices.
For your convenience, we recommend adding a shortcut to the Service Portal on your mobile device’s home screen. Then, simply login with your username and password.
Saving a Website Shortcut to your Home Screen:
iOS:
- In Safari (default browser), navigate to your portal’s login screen at http://www.ng1.angus.mrisoftware.com/tenant/232543/Main/default.aspx
- Tap the “send to” icon ( ), located at the top of the browser
- Select the “add to Home screen” icon ( ) from the menu
- Press “add”
Android:
- In Chrome (default browser), navigate to your portal’s login screen at http://www.ng1.angus.mrisoftware.com/tenant/232543/Main/default.aspx
- Press the “more options” icon ( ), located at the top of the browser
- Select “Add to Home screen” from the menu
- Enter a name for the home screen icon if needed, and press “add”.
This new system will be replacing the current protocol where tenants call Guest Services with store requests for maintenance related inquiries. Moving forward when you need someone from Maintenance to visit your store, all requests will need to be set up through the service portal. This will include all requests for help with gates, temperature control, etc.
All store managers can expect an automated welcome email this Thursday, June 6th. You will then have the ability to add in other employees (Assistant Managers, Keyholders, etc.) from your store to be able to dispatch requests as well.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the Administration Office for further information.
Please click HERE for your how-to guide.
Early Closures
July 30, 2025
It's come to our attention that many of the retailers are either partially or fully closing early before the end of the day announcements.
Unit gates and doors must remain fully open until after the closing announcement has been made each day.
For the employees in the kiosks, you must remain in your kiosk until the final announcement is complete.
Late openings, midday closures and early closures are all kept track of and reported to Head Offices. Please ensure your team knows these rules.
If you have any questions, please visit the Administration Office.
Thank you,
Kristi Williams

Proper Waste Sorting
Dec 9, 2025
Dear Tenants,
We kindly ask for your cooperation in following the building’s waste-sorting guidelines. Proper disposal helps maintain a clean environment and allows our porters to focus on other important tasks instead of correcting waste contamination.
REQUIRED WASTE SORTING RULES
1. Compost (Food Waste Only) – Lower floor by freight elevator
• Food waste only.
• No plastic, containers, or packaging.
2. Garbage (General Waste) – Loading Dock 1 / Loading Dock 2
• No food in the garbage.
• No liquids, oils, or chemicals.
• Use sealed bags only.
3. Mixed Recycling – Loading Dock 1 / Loading Dock 2
• Plastic must be separated from cardboard.
4. E-Waste & Special Items
• Batteries, fluorescent tubes, electronics, toner cartridges, and metal must be disposed of in the designated specialty recycling bins at Loading Dock 1.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
5. Pallets
• All pallets must be taken back by your delivery carrier.
• Removal of all pallets left on site will be charged back to the tenant.
6. Oversized or Special Waste
• Items that do not fall into any category (e.g: large fixtures, displays, bulk waste) must be removed by the tenant at the tenant’s expense.
• If you need pickup, you can contact Job Squad at 778-220-2288.
Following these rules reduces contamination, prevents pest issues, improves waste diversion, and saves valuable time for our building staff.
Thank you for helping us maintain a clean, sustainable, and efficient environment.
Sincerely, Aberdeen Mall Operations
